Would you just combine like terms? If you did that, I'm pretty sure you end up with 2x^2 -40. Though, I feel like maybe I just copied down the answer and not the problem . . .
Maybe they mean that you should put it into the other form so it would be 2x squared + 3x - 40 I don't know how to do the little squared symbol in case you were wondering
I can't figure out how to do (2x-5)(x+8). Isn't that already solved?

Like standard form? For squared you can just do this: 2x^2. The ^ symbol is above the 6 key.
